It all began in 1968, when Benidorm was taking its first steps as a major tourist destination on the Spanish Mediterranean coast. In that context, Penelope was born — a dance hall that from the very first day became a meeting point for locals and visitors from across Europe.
Over the decades, Penelope Benidorm has lived through and accompanied the evolution of dance music: from 70s pop, to 80s disco, the dance music of the 90s and the grand electronic productions of the 21st century. Every era has left its mark on these walls.
Today, with over 58 years of history, Penelope remains Benidorm's premier nightclub. Reinvented, modernised, yet true to its essence: the place where Benidorm's night happens.
The venue has grown into a full nightlife complex featuring a nightclub, beach club and multiple rooms, becoming one of Spain's most important clubs and a reference point for party tourism in Europe.
